Mugli, sitting alone, waiting for her son, in Kashmir, India. It was in 1990 that Mugli’s son Nazir Ahmed Teli disappeared. He was 35 years old and a school teacher, Mugli’s only child and sole bread earner for the family after her husband died. Mugli died in October 2009, after living alone for 19 years in her rickety, but neat house, waiting for her son to come back. He never did.
